Come have fun sharing the gospel with children every week in KidStuff. We’re currently recruiting volunteers to serve on Sundays at our Downtown Campus (Austin High School), West Campus (O. Henry Middle School) and at our St. John Campus.

Here are many ways to get involved: 
- Leading a small group
- Playing in the band
- Acting as a skit character (no acting experience required)
- Helping with check-in
- Helping with sound/light effects for our production (we provide the training)
- Teaching in a classroom
- Holding and praying over infants

The power of the written word is undeniably real. Words capture the heart of our God, the longings of our souls, and the cries of our spirit. God is moving in powerful ways through people at The Austin Stone, and the Story Team is looking for skilled writers to help us tell these stories to our body.

Skills include interviewing, journalistic-style writing and a willingness to grow and improve through the editorial process. Time commitments vary, but average around 5-6 hours per month. Interested? Sign up here and include a brief resume or summary of your experience.

The Resource Team is looking for individuals to help at one of our three campuses. We are looking for people that love books and are passionate about ensuring our body is well-resourced. The team serves before and after each service, and you may commit to a weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedule.

Looking for consistent and reliable volunteers to serve at the offices of The Austin Stone Community Church.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
– Greeting visitors
– Answering phones, transferring calls and checking voicemail
– Responding to emails
– Signing for packages and distributing mail to appropriate mailboxes
– Maintaining a pleasant appearance of the front desk area and kitchen
– Having a servants heart to generally support and serve the ASCC staff

Volunteer Requirements:
– Have consistently attended the ASCC for a minimum of 6 months
– Involved in a missional community or actively seeking involvement
– Must be a partner with the church or scheduled to take the partnership class
– Familiar and proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook

The Production team is the behind-the-scenes team that helps everything run smoothly during our Sunday worship services. They’re doing their job when you don’t notice them, and are enabled to worship God fully. The crew is made up of creatives, gamers, artists, coders, and just your average joe’s and johanna’s. Technical prowess is a plus but not a requirement.

Each Sunday morning our campuses are transformed into an environment where thousands of people gather together for corporate worship. To make this happen, we rely on a group of faithful volunteers, and we are currently in great need of dependable people to set-up or tear down the video and lights setup once a month. Can you help? No experience is necessary.

The parking team is looking for volunteers to help setup parking signs and/or direct the flow of traffic at one of our campuses one Sunday a month. The current teams serve before and between services. Sign-up for more details.

The Usher Team is looking for individuals to direct traffic in the sanctuary and facilitate the offering each week at the end of service.  Because this opportunity requires handling money from the offering, we ask that you be a Partner before considering this service opportunity.

Join the welcome team to help setup the foyer environments before service and greet guests on Sundays at The Austin Stone. Both small groups and individuals are needed. Greeters will welcome people at one of our campuses and assist in ushering and passing out bulletins before the worship service.

Volunteer Roles:
- Greeting students and parents
- Discipling a small group of students during the week
- Set up and tear down teams
- Production and worship team

Our communications team is looking for a wide array of instrumental music to put in our video work. We are looking for anything ranging from ambient, electronic, acoustic, hip hop, rock to classical. The Austin Stone Choir is a ministry that worships the Lord in spirit and truth. Worship at The Austin Stone is much more than music.  It involves prayer, giving, silence, listening/responding to the Word preached and lifting our voices to heaven.

The time commitment for choir involves rehearsals, leading the church family during (minimum) two services approximately two Sundays a month, and a monthly service activity.
