Connect Class

Sundays, January 28-March 4 / 11:15am / Paredes Middle School Library

MC Connect is the best way to get connected to a community of believers at The Austin Stone.

No matter how long you've been attending the Austin Stone, we want you to feel like a valuable part of our church family. Throughout the Bible, we see the command to live out our faith with other believers by our side. Life can be hard and its important for our joy and endurance to have community to remind us of the Good News of Jesus.

Our goal is to help you get connected to other people at South Campus so we've designed MC Connect to focus on building friendships while also learning about the mission, vision and practices of Missional Communities. Individuals participating in the class will be grouped at tables with people who live in similar parts of town. Group discussions will be an integral part of the class to help cultivate relationships.

Deep Topics for Young Hearts

Join us for a 6-week parenting class on how to practically guide your child through today’s cultural trends and topics.

Ever wondered how to address cultural trends with your kiddos? Or how to handle topics such as Gender Identity, Technology, Sexual Orientation, and Discipline? Join KIDS director, Lauren Nesselrode and other leaders from South Campus for this six week class. You will learn practical ways to apply biblical truths that lovingly care for your child’s heart. Whether or not you have had to respond to these subjects with your kids, the questions are coming. We want to help equip and prepare you to point your child to Jesus when these opportunities arise.

Mining God’s Word (Women)

Mondays, February 5-April 30 / 7-8:30pm / West Ministry Center

We have a conviction at the Austin Stone to equip our people to not just be consumers, but participators in the kingdom of God. This includes the way we read our Bibles. We want to be a people who engage God with our hearts, our minds, and our hands. Learning to examine and apply Scripture is crucial for each of us growing in our knowledge and love of God. In this 12-week inductive Bible class women will connect around the word of God and learn study tools, principles of interpretation, and application. The book of Philippians will serve as the primary training ground, although the class aims at imparting study skills that are applicable to the entire Bible.

For The Nations: Next Steps

We desire for each person in our church to actively participate in what God is doing to redeem a people for Himself from every tribe, language, tongue, and nation.

Here are five steps you can take toward that goal:

  1. Go on a short-term trip
  2. Join a Goer Missional Community
  3. Provide Tangible Needs for Visiting Goers
  4. Pray
  5. Give
