We invite you to love God by reading a copy of Words for Winter, the new collection of liturgies by The Austin Stone Institute.
Words for Winter is designed to help you and your family worship our King during Advent, Christmas, and on into the new year. The Christmas season and turn of the year can be full of highs and lows. These worshipful readings and prayers will help you navigate them both. This resource includes things like meditating on the wonder of our Savior come-to-earth, enduring Christmas without a loved one, and asking God for a new vision in the new year.
We hope Words for Winter becomes a beloved tradition for you and your family as you worship the Lord this Christmas and beyond.Purchase Words for Winter
Our generous God calls us to radical generosity, and we saw our people rise up to that call this year through The Austin Stone’s Mercy Fund. This year, you donated over $800,000 to the Mercy Fund, which allowed our church to directly respond to physical needs caused and exacerbated by the pandemic. Because of your generosity, every need brought to our church was fully met.
This Christmas, we invite you to continue to love our church body by giving to our Mercy Fund. Donations will help meet needs within our body through benevolence, adoption, disaster relief, and other needs. Click the button below to donate today.Give to Mercy Fund
For the Nations recruits, trains, sends, and supports disciples and leaders to the nations. Our desire is to see the Great Commission fulfilled: to see disciples made of all nations and for every people group across the globe to hear and have regular access to the gospel.
This year, our goers have faced increased housing, vehicle, and living expenses due to the unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic. Yet, even while they are displaced, they continue to remain faithful to their cross-cultural ministry to which God has called them. Your ongoing support contributes to their needs now and in the future, allowing the gospel to continue to advance where it is not yet known.
This Christmas, join us in partnering with our goers. Click the button below to support goers through a monthly gift of $25.Give Monthly
As we enter into the Christmas season, there are communities in our city that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic—people who have no reason to believe that the holidays will return any sense of normalcy to their families. We, as a church family, have the opportunity to demonstrate and share the hope we have in Jesus by meeting basic needs and blessing these communities with radical generosity that points to our God who not only provides, but is extravagant in giving His love to us.
Here are available service opportunities you can participate in alongside your congregation family.
Partnerships for Children
This Christmas season, we’re joining Partnerships for Children to provide gifts for a child in the care of Child Protective Services. When you sign up, you will receive a “wish list” of three gifts, as well as a description (name, interests, clothes/shoe size) of the child you are caring for. A $75 guideline is recommended per child and drop-offs will take place December 7 through December 11 from 10am-7pm at 2700 W. Anderson Lane, Suite 802. This is a great opportunity to gather your family or small group to serve generously this holiday season! If you have any questions, please email Alison Brooks.
The Giocosa Foundation
This Christmas season, our congregation has the opportunity to purchase gifts for children and families with Giocosa! Giocosa partners with foster children and families in transition by providing children a secure and loving home. When you sign-up, you will receive a child’s “wish list” varying from two to five gifts, as well as a description (name, age, gender) of the child you are caring for. A $50-75 guideline is recommended per child. You can drop off gifts at The Giocosa Foundation from November 30 through December 3 from 10am-3pm or on December 7 from 10am-3pm. Please note that the deadline for gift drop-off is December 7. If you have any questions, please email Alison Brooks.
Hosted by Camp2911, Teen Reach Adventure Camp (T.R.A.C.) is a local nonprofit organization that provides a specialized camp experience for teens in foster care. This Christmas, we are joining T.R.A.C. to care for these teens by providing them and their families with gifts and gift cards. You can select from a variety of gift options like providing gift baskets for the teens, Starbucks gift cards for foster parents, and pizza gift cards or family night baskets for the whole foster family! Drop off gifts and gift cards with Alicean Harwood in the Northwest Campus lobby at the 9:15am service on November 29 or December 6. If you have any questions, please email Alison Brooks.
Refugee Services of Texas
We invite you to care and pray for displaced families through Refugee Services. We have the opportunity to bless families by providing gift cards for Christmas gifts! DePelchin Children’s Center
This Christmas, we are joining Depelchin to gather family fun baskets for foster children and families. Ideas for baskets include: Cookie making/s’mores basket, ornament decorating and hot chocolate basket, family game night basket, movie night basket, etc! Each basket should be around $75-$100 of items. After signing up, you will receive an email with the name and size of the family, as well as ages of the children to give you a better idea of items to purchase! This is the perfect opportunity to partner with your family or small group to gather items for a special family night for a foster family. Drop off your basket December 7 through December 9 from 9am-4pm at DePelchin Children’s Center. If you have any questions, please email Alison Brooks.
Foster Village Austin
We are partnering with Foster Village to provide items for Christmas! Foster Village has two resource centers in Austin that are stocked with basic needs for children in crisis to gather everything they need, alleviating the stress that comes with the first days of placement. Articles such as diapers, pajama sets, twin bedding sets, and gift cards are needed. You can drop off gifts at West Campus on December 6 at the 9:15 and 11:15am services in the lobby. There are also larger items available for purchase from an Amazon wish list that will be delivered directly to Foster Village. The sign up below has more information on both options. If you have any questions, please email Alison Brooks.
