Refugee Services of Texas is a social service agency providing support to refugees and other displaced people. They are looking for people to provide transportation for newly arrived refugees. Often, volunteers will pick up clients, take them to their destination, and, once their appointment is over, pick them up and take them back home. Appointments include, but are not limited to: refugee screening clinic appointments, medical appointments, school enrollment, and visits to the social security office. Volunteers must attend an orientation, pass a background check, have access to transportation, and a valid state driving license.
