Racial Justice

“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.” (Isaiah 1:17 ESV)

We have always sought to be a people ruled by God’s Word and by God’s grace. We see in Scripture that God commands His people to learn to do good, seek justice, and correct oppression. This is why our elders chose to speak into the racial injustices that have been happening to people of color in our country, city, and church.

Below, you will find our statement on racial injustice in its entirety. We would ask that you prayerfully read the entire document. This statement is not about where we currently are as a community but is a direction for the people we want to become. In addition to this statement, we have provided a list of common resources for us to read so that we can move forward in our listening, learning, lamenting, and loving together as a unified body.
