Downtown Construction Impact

When Austin High School thrives, we get to celebrate! The Downtown Congregation has had the unique privilege of meeting at Austin High School for over 20 years, and in doing so, we’ve been able to express our love for this city in wonderful ways.

Beginning in January 2026, Austin High School will undergo renovations to better serve its students and teachers for years to come. This will affect our Sunday services, namely, where you park and where you enter the building.

Let’s be good neighbors to our friends at AHS by stewarding our Sundays well! Read below for current impacts and what this means for you (we will update as the project progresses):

Current Impact:

From January 1, 2026, to April 2027, the East entrance will be closed (including the roundabout), as well as 50 parking spaces in the East lot.

What This Means For You:

Parking: Most of the East lot will remain available. You can also park in the West lot or on the West side in the new gravel lot.

Entering:

  • If you park on the East side, you can walk through a temporary walkway from the East lot to enter the building.
  • If you park on the West side, you can enter the building through the West entrance like normal.

Parking for families with small children is still available in the East lot, but you will enter the building through the temporary walkway.
