After completing his undergraduate degree at Sam Houston State University, Adam felt the Lord calling him to continue his education at seminary. He attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, receiving a Masters of Divinity in Theology. During his time in ministry, Adam has served the church in college ministry, associate pastor, small groups pastor, and helped plant a church in South Austin. In addition to this, he spent 10 years as a public school teacher in and around Austin. He and his wife, Olivia, have spent the last eight years providing pre-marital and marriage counseling to couples in the church.
Adam’s initial interest in counseling came through his many years of working through grief and loss in his life. In college, he was discipled by several believers who instilled in him a heart for discipleship. This eventually led to further study in seminary in the area of biblical counseling. Adam desires is to see the gospel transform the lives of believers for God’s glory and the good of His people. Adam has experience working with pre-marriage, relational conflict, parenting, spiritual issues, depression, anxiety, addiction, anger, OCD, perfectionism, grief, loss, stress, and work-related struggles.
Adam and his wife, Olivia, have been married since 2007 and they have three children. In his spare time, Adam enjoys playing golf, gardening, running and spending time outdoors with his family.
