Amber graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University in 2013 and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2020. Her previous experience includes counseling in non-profit and shelter settings as well as private practice. Amber is passionate about helping people by utilizing a holistic approach grounded in a biblical worldview to care for their minds, bodies, and spirits. She believes every person has incredible worth and can live an abundant life.
Amber is trained in and pursuing full certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a psychotherapy that aids in relieving the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Amber also has experience in the following areas—sexual abuse recovery, phobias, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, perinatal issues, body image, sexuality, and life stage transitions. Amber utilizes a variety of expressive modalities to help clients process including EMDR, sand tray therapy, and art.
Amber and her husband Sean met at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2017 and were married in 2019. God has blessed them with two daughters, born in 2021 and 2023. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, playing board games, going to theme parks, listening to music, and ministering to others.
