While there, she also received her School Counselor, Advanced Counseling, and Substance Awareness certificates. She has also completed the Fundamentals of Biblical Counseling certificate from the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF), the Equipped to Counsel course through The Austin Stone, and is a Level 1 Certified Christian Trauma Care Provider with the Christian Trauma Healing Network (CTHN).

Interests & Specialties

Denise has a passion for faithful biblical counseling, discipleship, and clinical care. She desires to embody Christ in her care for the broken, holding their stories with compassion, and bringing the light and truth of God's Word into what may seem hopeless. She works with clients ages 16 and up and has experience working with an array of struggles including anxiety, depression, relational conflict, identity and self-worth, singleness, multicultural issues, doubt and faith, same-sex attraction, and other issues. Given that she is fully virtual, Denise does not provide counseling services to those struggling with active suicidal ideation.

Personal

Hailing from the East Coast, Denise was born and raised in northern New Jersey but has roots in Argentina. She is fluent in Spanish, loves hymns, drinking mate, reading, following Philly sports, and serving the local church. She has been married to her sweetheart, Chris, since 2020, and they love spending time outdoors with their rescue dog, Newton.
