Julie received her bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy and a minor in Psychology from Texas State University in 2021. After graduating from Texas State University, she moved to Austin and worked at an inpatient psychiatric hospital as an expressive therapist, working with patients struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and suicidal ideations.
Julie is a practicum counselor working on her degree requirements to complete her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University.
Julie believes God wants to give meaning to the messiness of life and allows us to bring any emotion to Him—anxiety, fear, sadness, guilt, anger. Through a biblical lens, she counsels with background knowledge of cognitive behavioral and narrative therapy. Julie believes every person has a story worth listening to and desires to be a safe space for vulnerability.
