Paul Diaz is graduate of Dallas Christian College where he earned a bachelor’s in Biblical Studies. He went on to earn a MA in Counseling from Seminary of the Southwest and a MA in Theological Studies from Austin Graduate School of Theology. He's been a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #69996) since 2012. Over 20 years, Paul served in various pastoral roles including student minister, worship minister, and lead pastor. Paul’s first clinical internship was at the Austin State Hospital administering art therapy groups and working towards competency restoration with individuals on the forensics units. He has worked on a multi-disciplinary team in a pain management clinic and has worked in private practice for several years.
Paul believes that each of us are created with intention by a loving God. Paul's passion lies in leading people to restorative and transformational relationships with God and others. He has experience working with adolescents as young as 12 and adults through their 80s. His focus of practice includes marriage, blended marriages (racially/culturally), anxiety, depression, child-parent conflict, parenting, life transitions, grief/loss, pain management, and addiction.
Paul has been married to Jill since 2001 and they have two sons. Paul enjoys listening to and creating music, a good cup of coffee (especially if he’s roasted the beans), playing disc golf with his boys, and good road trip with his wife.
