Our St. John Congregation started with a vision. We wanted to take a rundown building in an under-resourced Austin neighborhood and use it to bring healing, restoration, and hope to our city. Since 2011, a lot has changed for our congregation, but that core passion remains steadfast. We want to be a people who reflect God’s heart and the beauty of the gospel in the place He’s called us to.
Whether you’re a single professional, a new or seasoned family, or an empty nester, there’s a place for you here! We host worship services, equipping opportunities, community gatherings, and more to create welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life can come together to worship Jesus.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Each Sunday, we host programming for children 8 weeks old through 4th grade at 9am and kiddos 8 weeks old through 5th grade 11am. Our thoroughly vetted and trained volunteers provide a safe and fun environment for kids to worship Jesus in a large-group setting and learn about the Bible in a smaller group. And, for nursery-aged children, we provide a caring space where they are prayed over and cared for during services.
On Sunday mornings, our 5th, 6th, and 7th graders meet for a time focused on building community, having fun, and establishing firm foundations of faith!
Middle school students gather weekly on Sunday evenings from 5-7:30pm at our St. John Campus for food, fun, worship, and gospel teaching. Middle school DCOMMs also meet during this time.
Rather than meeting on Sunday mornings, we encourage students in 8th through 12th grade to integrate into the life of the church body. Whether by worshipping alongside their parents or friends, sitting under the teaching of elders, or serving in other areas of ministry, we want to empower students to love the church!
High school students gather weekly on Sunday evenings from 5-7:30pm at our St. John Campus for food, fun, worship, and gospel teaching. High school DCOMMs also meet during this time.

Yes! Our Kids Ministry has programming available during the 9am and 11am service for newborns through 4th grade. Upon arrival, follow the signs to the Kids check-in area. If you need any help, find a volunteer wearing an Austin Stone shirt—they’ll point you in the right direction. Because of our commitment to safety, you’ll check your child(ren) in using our check-in system.
We also have programming for 5th through 8th graders through our Students Ministry during the 11am service. Students will meet for a time with food, fun, worship, and gospel teaching!
We don’t currently have live interpretation, but our South Congregation does offer live American Sign Language interpretation during their 9am service each Sunday! We also post each sermon online with closed captioning.
