Susan grew up in East Texas and received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1988. Shortly after graduation, she relocated with her family to central Florida where she put down roots and raised her family. She has enjoyed multiple careers—each one rewarding and full of life lessons. She was a high school teacher, a successful realtor for 12 years, and most recently worked in vocational ministry for nine years. As an associate pastor, Susan oversaw multiple ministry areas including women's ministry, small groups, missions, and outreach. In ministry, her passion to help women continued to grow which led her toward a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, Church Ministry, and Discipleship. She's also a certified Life Coach.
Susan's deepest desire is to use her life experiences, training, and her passion for spiritual growth to help women move toward wholeheartedness, freedom, healing, and restoration in every area of their lives.
Susan has worked with women of all ages from adolescents up through the golden years and is currently seeing clients ages 12 and older. She has experience with anxiety and depression, grief, infidelity, separation and divorce, remarriage, blended families, eating disorders, motherhood, empty nest, career changes, finding joy and fulfillment as a single woman, parenting adult kids, shame, fear of the future, spiritual growth and development, leadership development, and living life joyfully, wholeheartedly, and open-heartedly.
Susan's favorite way to spend her time is with her two adult kids—sharing meals, sharing stories, and talking about life. She loves traveling with her Aussie, hiking, biking, and being in nature. In her spare time she journals, paints, reads, listens to podcasts and music, and spends time with friends in Texas and Florida. She has many treasured life verses in the Bible, lives her life prayerfully, and intentionally practices spiritual disciplines.
