Advocacy Teams partner in the work of catalyzing a church-planting movement among unreached people groups by supporting goers sent by The Austin Stone. These teams of six to 12 people are committed to the ministry vision of the goer and help to ensure that the goer is on task and thriving in their role.
As a church body, we desire to walk with those we have sent to the field in a way that ensures their flourishing. When a goer’s decisions and actions, both large and small, are aligned with God’s vision and calling for their life, they remain on task for the work set before them. We want to be sure that they’re happy, healthy, and holy as they work to fulfill God’s mission. Advocacy Teams are a vital component in achieving this aim.
Individual volunteers are needed to join new Advocacy Teams for goers leaving for the field for the first time and to fill spots on existing teams as needed. Fill out the form below to be contacted with next step information for joining an Advocacy Team.
Want to serve with your Missional Community at The Austin Stone? New goers oftentimes need help with Advocacy Team development and an established community of believers serving as senders is a good way to join in God’s global mission.
