Marriage

God desires for your marriage to be a relationship where you experience love, intimacy, and growth as a display of the gospel in your lives together. Marriage Ministry at The Austin Stone consists of Premarital Mentoring and Marriage Mentoring.

Premarital Mentoring

Premarital Mentoring is an opportunity for you to partner with a married couple who is committed to seeing your marriage flourish. Having mentors in your life provides a safe place to be honest and ask for help. By drawing from their own experiences with similar issues, your mentors will be able to help you in ways that you simply could not obtain otherwise.

Marriage Mentoring

No matter how many anniversaries you celebrate, marriage requires continual work and sacrifice. When two imperfect people decide to get married, things never come together as smoothly as you would like. Marriage Mentoring is an opportunity to meet with another married couple to work through the ever-changing tides of life, relationships, and marriage.

If you’d like to request an Austin Stone pastor to perform your wedding, you may do so after you’ve been matched with a mentor. Once you’re matched, you’ll receive a link to an Officiate Request Form.

Yes. Please fill out the form below.

Wedding Officiant Form

Yes. If you’re looking toward marriage but are not yet engaged, you may participate in the program the same way an engaged couple would. We actually encourage couples to do this.

If either individual is divorced, we would like to discuss with you the details of your divorce. After our discussion, we will decide whether or not we feel free to perform your wedding. Our decision will be based on our prayerful study of God’s Word regarding Biblical principles for divorce and/or the freedom to remarry according to 1 Corinthians 7; Matthew 5:31-32, 19:9; Mark 10:11-12, and Luke 16:17-18.

If you don’t attend The Austin Stone, are looking for professional counseling, require virtual counseling accommodations, or have strict scheduling constraints, please visit austinstonecounseling.org to request a professional, paid counseling session.
