"They said to you, ‘In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.’ It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.” (Jude 1:18-21 ESV)

Jude

Though a short letter, its exhortation is willfully powerful. Addressed to a church vulnerable to false teaching, one of Jesus’ brothers, Jude, whistleblows God’s people for neglecting the gravity of sin and its subtle influence.

In just 25 verses, he urges the family of God to contend for the faith, recognize the hidden weight of sin, and remain in God’s love to the end. Jude begs the question, what false truths and secret sins are we allowing to slip into our lives? And even more so, what will we do about them?
