Join us as we partner with Mobile Loaves & Fishes to support Austin's homeless community! Every month, truck run teams prepare and deliver meals to feed our unhoused neighbors in Downtown Austin. These teams are led by truck run team captains who attend the Downtown Congregation.
Volunteer Roles Available:
- Join a one-off truck run shift (3 hours), where you'll help prepare food (mainly sandwich items), load the truck, and then take the packed truck out to visit our homeless neighbors around Downtown Austin to pass out food and build relationships.
- Commit to joining a truck run team that goes out once a month (1st Saturday, 2nd Thursday, or 3rd Thursday).
The Saturday Team serves from 4–7pm, and both Thursday teams serve from 5:30–8:30pm. Kids are welcome to join! We meet at First Methodist Church on Lavaca Street.
