Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from The University of Texas at Austin in 2018. She taught 1st grade in Austin and Dripping Springs ISD, serving as an inclusion teacher. Her experiences with challenging behaviors led her to embrace trauma-informed practices with her students. She spent 4 years in the classroom before she began to consider changing careers. After completing the Equipped to Counsel class at Austin Stone, she felt affirmed that pursuing a career in counseling was where God was leading her. Now, she is a graduate student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she is working to complete her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Morgan believes that Jesus is our wonderful Counselor, Provider, and Healer. In her role as a counselor, she hopes to be a grace-filled vessel, supporting and encouraging the growth of her clients. As a former 1st grade teacher and high school YoungLife leader, she is passionate about serving kids, teens, and their families as they navigate challenges and grow in resilience. Her approach integrates cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, and trauma-informed perspectives. Ultimately, her hope is to counsel in a way that is grounded in biblical truth, pointing clients back to the hope and healing of the Gospel.
Morgan and her husband have lived in Austin for over 10 years. They welcomed their first child in January 2025, and Morgan has been deeply changed by the refining role of motherhood. She enjoys spending time outside, watching football (Hook ‘Em!), exercising, and trying new restaurants in Austin. After her own experience in counseling, she is deeply humbled by the opportunity to be a safe space for others. Ultimately, she hopes to cheer on the pursuit of God's glorious grace in healing, hope, and sanctification.
