What is Women's Workshop?

Women's Workshop is a church-wide, all-day equipping event for women at The Austin Stone to foster biblical literacy and encourage a deep love of the bible. This year's workshop will be held on Saturday, September 19, in Northwest Austin and will focus on what God says about sexuality. Dr. Juli Slattery will discuss content from her most recent book, Surrendered Sexuality, to help women make sense of their temptations, shame, brokenness, longings, or desires in light of the gospel.

Through a biblical lens, you'll explore questions like:

  • How do I surrender my sexuality to God?
  • Why do I keep struggling with the same temptations?
  • Why do I feel so broken even though I believe in God?
  • Are these desires sinful or God-given?
  • Why would God want me to stay in a marriage that feels unfulfilling?
  • Do I have to choose between loving God and loving my transgender child?

Through this workshop, you'll learn that the purpose of your sexuality is to understand God's love for you as you surrender your sexuality to Him. Join us for an honest conversation about God and sexuality!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does my ticket include?

The workshop is a full-day training featuring three teaching sessions with Dr. Juli Slattery, a Q&A session, and time to process the content, both individually and in small-group discussions. Lunch and snacks will be provided, but childcare is not provided.

Can I bring an infant? Can my older daughter attend with me?

Childcare is not provided, but infants are welcome.

If your daughter is 16 or older, she is welcome to attend with you (separate registration required). We believe this year’s workshop presents an excellent opportunity for discipleship. Please note that we won't be modifying or limiting adult discussion in ways that cater explicitly to teens or younger women. So, moms need to be willing and available to help their daughters navigate the teaching and discussion based on their maturity level.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

We’re happy to provide partial scholarships to anyone who needs financial assistance. Please request a scholarship here BEFORE registering.

Can I get a refund for my ticket?

Refunds and location changes are available if requested through the form below through September 4. After that date, we'll no longer issue refunds (and you'll forfeit your workshop swag). Request a refund here.
