In a world desperate for the “good life,” where materialism and pleasure suffocate or demand from us, skeptics undoubtedly form. But in God’s mercy, a realistic understanding of life under the sun can actually purge us of short-sighted ideas about life so we can see Jesus more clearly. 

This wisdom literature reminds us of the things we can’t control—time, death, and chance—only to free us to live out our true purpose. Ecclesiastes acknowledges life’s complexities with unfiltered honesty and reorients our souls around what’s real: God Himself.
