Project Management Resident

Summary

As part of the Ministry Support and Development Team at The Austin Stone Community Church, the project management resident will serve as a two-year resident (2025–2027) and will help execute a variety of tasks related to projects that include special events, processes, and resources that serve our congregations as they seek to love God, love the church, love the city, and love the nations.

Finally, the project management resident will grow in his/her faith through the participation in The Austin Stone Development Program, a Life Transformation Group (LTG),  and regular meetings with his/her supervisor. These meetings cover development goals, work projects, deadlines, and expectations.

The Project Management resident will report to the Central Family Ministries senior project manager.

Essential Responsibilities

Event Processes 

  • Work with Ministry Support and Development leadership and the members of the Integration Team to plan and execute various projects to serve our congregations
  • Assist the project manager with the creation and follow through of event timelines 
  • Assist the project manager in preparing for kick off and milestone meetings with stakeholders
  • Work alongside the project manager to coordinate event details such as decor, catering, transportation, promotional materials, schedules, etc.
  • Coordinate with vendors in relation to catering, printing, merchandise, facility rentals, etc
  • Gather and order materials for events

General Team Responsibilities

  • Organizing and maintaining ministry event supplies
  • Other administrative and ministry tasks as assigned
  • General understanding of our third-party facilities, including Pine Cove camps

What will the schedule be like?

While each resident benefits from different ministry experiences, every resident completes our Austin Stone Development Program (ASDP), an in-depth study of doctrine and spiritual disciplines, leadership training modules, and a capstone project. Residents also attend weekly staff meetings, meet with supervisors once a week, and regularly gather with other residents for lunch and other activities. Residents prioritize abiding in Christ by sabbathing one day a week.

Are residents paid?

Yes, but residents raise financial support to provide a salary for two years.

How do residents raise support?

Residents go through mandatory training with Reliant, a partnering organization, to learn how to raise support and to manage financial gifts and supporters.

Where do residents live?

Residents live throughout the Austin metroplex, often choosing to rent an apartment or home with other residents. Residents are responsible for finding housing.
